GlobalLogic Expands Global Product Development Service to China
Industry Veteran Joins Global Product Development Firm to Head China Operations
Vienna, VA – GlobalLogic, the leader in global product development (GPD) with more than 140 technology partnerships, has opened a new software delivery center in Beijing, China. The operation will be led by Kirk Tang, who joins the company from mobile software platform vendor MobileAware, where he served as vice president and general manager of Asia-Pacific. In addition to GlobalLogic’s core software R&D offering, Tang will also oversee go-to-market advisory and channel-building services for clients wishing to expand into China and the broader Asia-Pacific market.
GlobalLogic’s Beijing software delivery center will specialize in developing applications for the telecommunications, mobile, business and consumer internet, and embedded technology markets. It will also serve as a regional hub as the company expands into Korea, Japan and other parts of Asia. GlobalLogic has existing centers in the U.S., India and Ukraine.
Kirk Tang brings 10 years of experience in business management in Asia to his new post as vice president and general manager of China operations at GlobalLogic. Prior to joining MobileAware, Tang held senior management positions with international responsibility in sales, channel alliances, business development and operations at BEA Systems, Dell Computer, Versata and Ingram Micro.
